Nicholas Jerry Jonas was born on September 16, 1992, in Dallas, Texas. He is an American singer, songwriter, musician and actor who rose to fame as a member of the pop rock band Jonas Brothers.

Jonas is the third son of Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas. His father is a songwriter, musician, and former ordained minister, while his mother is a former sign language teacher and singer.
He was discovered at age six in a barber shop and referred to a professional show business manager. Jonas began performing on Broadway at age seven, portraying characters such as Tiny Tim, Chip Potts, Little Jake, and Gavroche.

Jonas signed with Island Records and released a self-titled album in 2014, which saw the success of the single “Jealous” peaking at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100. His third studio album Last Year Was Complicated (2016) peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200.
