Disclosure Day is an upcoming American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by David Koepp based on a story by Spielberg. The film stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo.

In April 2024, it was reported that Spielberg’s next project would be a UFO film, with Koepp writing the screenplay. Within the next few months, Universal Pictures was announced as distributor and Blunt was cast in the lead role.
๐ Screenplay
After receiving the initial treatment from Spielberg via email, Koepp would develop 42 drafts for the film’s screenplay, the most drafts of his career. In May, Universal Pictures was set to distribute.

Emily Blunt was reported to be in talks to join in the lead role in June 2024 and was confirmed to star in August. From August to December, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, and Josh O’Connor were cast.

Principal photography began on February 26, 2025, in New Jersey, Atlanta, New York City and Huntington under the title Non-View. Filming took place from February to May 2025.

In October 2025, it was announced that John Williams had been hired to compose the score for the film, which will be his thirtieth collaboration with Spielberg.

Disclosure Day is scheduled to be released in the United States by Universal Pictures on June 12, 2026. It was originally set to be released on May 15, 2026.
