Navarrette was born to an Australian mother and a Mexican father. Due to her fatherโs U.S. military service, her family moved frequently, and she attended eleven different schools by age 15.
After her parentsโ separation, she grew up primarily in Visalia, California. She spent her freshman year at Mt. Whitney High School before moving to Los Angeles and attending Redondo Union High School.
