Lindsey Olin Graham was an American politician and attorney who represented South Carolina in the United States Senate from 2003 until his death in 2026. He was a member of the Republican Party and previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003.

Lindsey Olin Graham was born on July 9, 1955, in Central, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1977 and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1981.

Graham served on active duty in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1989 as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He later served in the South Carolina Air National Guard and the United States Air Force Reserve, retiring as a colonel in 2015.
