Dileep Raj (2 September 1978 โ€“ 13 May 2026) was an Indian actor, film and television director, and producer known for his work in Kannada cinema and television. He appeared in 24 films.

๐ŸŽฌ Film Career

After a successful career in television as a supporting actor, he made his film debut as a lead actor in Boy Friend which was released in 2005. He shot to popularity with the blockbuster film Milana (2007), essaying the role of an antagonist.

In his 2016 film, U Turn, he played a leading role in the dramatic thriller. He also acted in stage roles, including the leading role in the play Treadmill.

๐Ÿ“บ Television & Dubbing Work

Raj acted in popular television serials, including Janani, Ardha Satya, Rangoli, Kumkuma Baghya, Mangalya, Malebillu, Preetigaagi and Rathasapthami, which was based on a true incident. He was also a dubbing artist.

He dubbed for many Kannada films like Aa Dinagalu (for Chethan’s character) and many more. He worked as the Fiction Head for Colors Kannada for three years.

Raj died from a heart attack on 13 May 2026, at the age of 47.
